Aly & Egon chose my favorite venue of all time - Stan Hywet. My wife and kiddos love going there to visit the gorgeous grounds and manor, especially for their Christmas programs! There's just something magical about the breathtaking 1920's architecture, gorgeous landscaping, and of course the Akron history. Aly's parents also got married here a few years ago, so I was so happy to accommodate her special request - a mini photo session for her parents just before the ceremony :-) How sweet is that??

Egon designed all the stationery himself, which is incredibly impressive! Beyond being super crafty, these two are just an amazing fit. I talk about "vibe" all the time but it's really hard to explain with words. You just have to feel it! My favorite thing during the photo session is when they were clearly oblivious to anything I was saying, just focusing on each other instead. 

We had more time than usual for photos, which I will not complain about at a venue like this! We took full advantage and created some of my favorite portraits to date. Aly wanted to incorporate the manor as much as possible... I think we succeeded ;-)

Back at her parents house for the reception, full of toddlers running around (which always makes me miss my kiddos!), amazing food, incredible music, and a french fry bar! You read that right :-) Aly & Egon also surprised Egon's parents with a cake and Aly's parents with a succulent arrangement. Egon really knows his succulents btw.
