Amanda & Jason's Windows on the River Wedding

Weddings are all about two families coming together. Sometimes, they come pretty far (physically speaking!). Jason & his family are from England, so it's amazing to see how many people made the trip to be a part of the wedding! We found an amazing alley to use for the 1st look, and Jason's face was  pretty priceless when he first saw Amanda :-)

After getting ready at Met @ the 9, we headed to the script sign at Voinovich park. It's definitely a popular spot so we expect to see a ton of people and maybe even a couple other bridal parties. As we walked up I only noticed 2-3 tourists snapping some photos so we let out a huge sigh of relief - I really didn't want Amanda and the rest of the bridal party waiting in direct sunlight at 90-some degrees for very long!

We opted to get the rest of the portraits on the west side of the flats, right next to the venue. The light was perfect, and the people were fun - so that means we got some of the best portraits of the summer! It was a bit hot, but Amanda really wanted to try for the bridge near Shooters. After the walk over and a few photos under the bridge we had to step inside Shooters just to cool down in the AC for a few minutes!

The reception was at Windows on the River, which is seriously our new favorite venue. The huge windows give plenty of beautiful light, and the huge iron beams have an amazing vibe. Amanda & Jason were smart to have kids activity packs on the tables with kiddos! We love seeing kids at weddings, it just makes it seem more magical, and they're always fun to photograph.

The cocktail hour was actually in the aquarium, so guests were able to meander around the fish while enjoying a drink (and touching sting rays!). I'm so glad we have several weddings there this year.
