Melissa & Dan's Farm Wedding
Even though we live in Hudson (which is pretty suburban), I love the country. Something about rolling hills, mountains, rivers, and the slow pace of life totally draws me in. Nina and I have thrown around the idea of moving to the country but our life is a bit too crazy at the moment to seriously consider it. One day! Akron and Cleveland weddings are super fun too. There are so many things to see in the city but I'll always feel at home in the country :-)
Melissa & Dan's wedding was over an hour away at an adorable little farmhouse, complete with a huge pond (for the ceremony), tons of tree groves (for amazing little portrait sessions), a covered area for dinner and a barn for dancing.
Melissa & Dan's friends were so much fun in the morning! Melissa even gave me full permission to kick Dan where it counts so he'll cry on his handkerchief she made for him - it's rare for me but we faked it for the photo :-) I could tell she's close with her bridesmaids, as soon as I saw one of them flossing her just before the ceremony! Gatta have clean teeth for that 1st kiss I guess?
It did rain during the ceremony buy you honestly couldn't tell unless you looked at the water. Just enough for "good luck" without getting soaked - perfect. It rained a bit harder during the speeches but by that time we were under a roof. The best part? A gorgeous rainbow - what else could you ask for!?
And for the record - I am totally OK with the taco truck trend! Nothing hits the spot better at 11pm than tacos :-)
