We've actually known Linea & Will for a couple years now - Linea was a bridesmaid in a wedding from 2018, and we've done several sessions with them since. Will is in the Marine Corps, so the first session for the two of them was the Marine Ball (which we shot at the Hyatt Arcade in Cleveland...amazing). Next was Will's commissioning as an officer at Ohio State. Then their engagement session in German Village. Safe to say we've had plenty of camera time before the wedding! It's honestly great to know someone so well beforehand, and makes it extra exciting to document the wedding.

Their original plan was a wedding near Columbus, but of course Covid disrupted their plans. Since Will wasn't able to be far from base, they had to have their wedding in Virginia - without most of their family and friends. They decided on an intimate wedding at Veritas Vinyard & Winery - a GORGEOUS venue nestled at the base of the smokey mountains. You can't get much better than 1800s architecture with southern charm, mountains, and wine :-)

Despite not having most of their friends & family present, the entire day was filled with so much amazing energy and I was incredibly honored to be a part of it. Lineas family from Sweden (and probably friends & family everywhere), joined via Instagram live to witness the ceremony and some of the reception. It's pretty astounding that technology can do that!

The 4 course dinner (and service at Veritas) was INCREDIBLE, it honestly blew me away (and I know good food thanks to Nina!). During the evening, we saw plenty of rain and some lightning in the distance, but were spared any major downpour. And being the 4th of July, we could spot a few fireworks in the hills :-)

P.S. Alex Fogle (the bride from 2018 who Linea was a bridesmaid for) did all the flower arrangements and Linea even made the wedding cake herself!
